On Friday, the song “Bijli” from Shashank Khaitan’s forthcoming blockbuster film Govinda Naam Mera was released. The song features Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani and was composed by the team Sachin-Jigar.
The music video for the over three-minute song appears to be a compilation of numerous Bollywood item numbers. Its opening resembles the song “Ghagra” from the film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, which starred Madhuri Dixit and Ranbir Kapoor. In the video, Kiara wears a similar dress to Katrina Kaif in her chart-topping single “Chikni Chameli.” It is not a song that you will remember for a long time. However, you may hear it frequently throughout the forthcoming wedding season.
Kaushal is the highlight of the song. This is a never-before-seen appearance for his admirers, and the actor certainly knows how to shake a leg. A viewer commented on the video, “Does Vicky have any limitations? His facial expressions and dance too fantastic, man!” Someone else remarked, “I was unaware of his dancing abilities, yet he proved to be an excellent dancer. In all appearances, it’s in fine shape.
Previously, during the trailer launch ceremony for Govinda Naam Mera, Vicky Kaushal stated that the film has allowed him to shed his image as a serious actor. He was quoted as saying, “I wanted a movie where I wouldn’t have to cry. Saala ye dukh khatam ho gaya in this filmI was overjoyed.”
Govinda Naam Mera, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar in the major role, will be released directly to OTT. On December 16, it will begin streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.
