We all have water geysers in our homes. But do we know how the geyser heats water precisely to our requirement? That’s done by equipment called a geyser thermostat. The Geyser thermostat is a major part of the water geyser. It’s equipment that measures the temperature of the water. It helps to control how much water should heat. However, the thermostat never comes in contact with water. It’s incredible how it functions.
When the water starts to heat in the geyser, the outer layer of the geyser also starts heating. A thermostat senses the temperature of the outer layer and thus determines how hot the water is. If the water is colder than the set temperature, it’ll call for heat and the geyser will heat the water for more time. If the water is hot to our requirement, the thermostat will send a message to stop heating the water more.
