He is a one-two fighter with decent hand speed – not much foot movement or power, but he’s a veteran and knows his way around the ring. He will look to make it a rangy fight, but I am just the opposite. It will be a great fight for the fans if it lasts. I won’t pick what round it will end – it will come down to how I feel. I will knock him out; the tougher he is, the better. I am going to hurt this guy. Then, I will lay him out cold.”
He added, “ProBox has been nothing short of amazing, and Garry Jonas saw what I bring to the table and is helping push my career to the next level, and I am happy I have some great names commenting behind me.
“God gave me a gift that I can hurt people. I am not trying to win fights; I want to inflict as much damage as possible.”
David Light, “The Great White” (19-0 with 12 KOs), a 30-year-old from New Zealand, won the international title on May 5, 2022, with a first-round knockout. Light belongs to North Shore, New Zealand, and scored a first-round knockout on May 7 show in Florida. Then he returned to the ring on October 9, stopping Vikas Singh in the second round of a cruiserweight fight in Newcastle, Australia.
Light said, “Training is going great – It is the hardest I have ever trained in my life, and I am leaving no stone unturned. We have watched Glanton, an excellent strong fighter, the sort of guy people avoid, but we are up for the challenge and believe we have what it takes to win. We are coming to beat him at his own game. First, we are going to put him to sleep. Then, after December 2, everyone will go to know who I am as losing is not an option.”
